DevOps Engineer Praveen has been with us since 2019, starting as a contractor before coming on full-time. He works for LMS out of the “The Hub” in Fort Lauderdale, providing production support to the Dev team for partner client Princess Cruises.
Troubleshooting failing microservices in testing and production environments is his primary role. The goal – as it is for the entire Guest Experience Maximization team at LMS – is to ensure the continued health of guest (and crew) experiences.
The Environment Works
“The most enjoyable part of this job is to work as a team. I love my eight hours on-site here each day at the Hub Office,” he explains. “The environment created here to help each other is something to talk about. Our team’s mentality to keep improving and their ‘Never say No’ attitude is helping the team grow in leaps and bounds.”
As a DevOps engineer, he works with developers, designers, and architects to ensure that the configuration and custom components meet application requirements and performance goals. He is also called to design procedures for system troubleshooting and maintenance and identify manual processes that can be automated.
“Leadership is great in caring for every employee, knowing their needs, and helping them improve. I always enjoy the innovation to improve the guest experience here in the OCEAN project.”
DevOps Engineer Praveen Lingareddy
We’re lucky to have Praveen in the DevOps engineer role. His personality compliments the culture, and his attitude is always positive.
He worked hard to get here. Originally from India, he left home to come to the U.S. and earn his master’s in Information Technology at Wilmington University (Delaware). As of September 2022, he and his wife are awaiting their first child.
“Yes, I do have a beautiful family. I come from India, and My parents live there. I kept my promise to marry Mounika when I was 19 years old. Fast forward ten years, and we are happily married and about to welcome our baby girl. Just living the dream!”
He and Mounika will have less free time, but he still has other interests.
“Cricket and Movies are kind of a religion in India. This habit has never left me. I do watch a lot of movies and cricket during the weekend. I love to spend time with friends and family. I have always wanted to travel with my wife and explore all of Europe and the South American Countries, and we wish to fulfill that dream before I retire.”
