Dakshesh has been a data integrity analyst with LMS since 2021. He works remotely from New Jersey, and his education and experience are in computer science and information systems. Guest experience operations are at the heart of LMS subsidiary, GEM, and data science is the lifeblood that fuels it. Our data-driven solutions enable us to break down barriers between our partners and their customers, and the security of that data is vital.
Protecting company data and ensuring its appropriate use is the job of the data integrity analyst. LMS and GEM specialize in knowing guests’ preferences, personalizing experiences, and building loyalty; data integrity is at the core.
“My team and I help maintain the data for guests who cruise with Carnival/Princess and help them to be OceanReady®,” Dakshesh explains. OceanReady® incorporates all functions of the MedallionClass® experience aboard Princess Cruises ships. Dine My Way℠, OceanNow®, and Ocean® Casino are a few. “We give our guests a memorable travel experience utilizing the technology at its fullest.”
What Skills Does a Data Integrity Analyst Use?
Tools we use include Oracle, Postman, Excel, and Power BI to automate, test, and maintain the data integrity in the system. Analyzing trends is also essential to increase efficiency down the road.
“Constant communication with the team and timely updates keep me up. The guests experiencing a successful journey keeps me motivativated. Also, I love the work I do here. Being a part of such a challenging job keeps me active and focused throughout each day.”
What Is the Biggest Challenge?
“We are like frontline warriors at the back-end. We need to understand the whole system in order to manage and clean guest data. We keep learning efficient ways to capture, fix, analyze, visualize and report our work, including the types of issues faced.”
What’s the Most Enjoyable Part?
“The everyday challenges that we face are fascinating. It’s like we don’t only fix the integrity of data, we find ways to capture it. We’re always learning new techniques and tactics to improve our work and get quicker and more efficient at it..”
Dakshesh is part of the Data Integrity Team, which has its hands full with multiple projects on the table. With a new generation of the “xOpsTools” in the works, the entire fleet of Princess Cruises ships back at sea, and new client partners always a possibility, the Data Integrity Team has a crowded agenda.
